BMW 6 Series Convertible Gets Makeover – Hamann Style

If you recently bought a BMW 6-series convertible and are looking for ways to drive it to a higher level, thetuning specialists at Hamann can take care of your need for style and speed. The newly designed open-top 6 is given a little extra touch to the wheels, foot pedals, and more to transform the car from executive to sporty.

Starting with the wheels, Hamann lets you dress them up with two different available designs. The “Anodized” race edition design includes 21-inch alloy wheels, complete with a high-gloss and chrome-plated rim flange with offset black spokes and titanium screws. These also come in 20-inch matte black wheels. For a more subtle look, go with the “Anniversay Evo” design, which includes wheels in silver or matte black in 20-inch or 21-inch size. Staying in tune with the sporty look, aluminum pedals and a footrest replace the black rubber factory ones, giving the interior a more high-performance look and offering better grip for those that like to get a feel for its 0 to 60 time of 4.9 seconds, 400 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. The aluminum pedals are available in silver or anodized black.

The drop-top drops down low, as Hamann specialists used progressive suspension springs to lower the center of gravity in the front by around 30mm, and in the rear by about 25mm. Staying on topic with the rear, a stainless steel four-pipe exhaust with round 90mm tailpipes peek out the back, and a middle silencer gives the 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 a nice rumble.

More about the tuning package for the BMW 6-series will be revealed at the Frankfurt Show in September.
