Want to go racing in a Nissan 370Z? Now it’s easier than ever, as the company has announced its new 370Z Nismo RC race car. The car was designed for International FIA GT4 and World Challenge GTS race series, but Nissan says it could also be tweaked to compete in Grand Am racing.

The car is based on the road-going 370Z Nismo that you can purchase at your nearest Nissan dealership, but stripping out unnecessary components (most of the interior) trims weight from 3314 pounds to 2994 pounds. A roll cage, Sparco racing seat with six-point harness, Sparco steering wheel, fire extinguisher, and other required safety gear are fitted as standard.

Under the hood, the car’s 3.7-liter V-6 offers 355 hp and 276 lb-ft of torque, up 5 hp compared to the street car. The V-6 benefits from Nismo upgrade parts including a racing exhaust; new clutch and flywheel; oil, engine, and transmission coolers; and tougher hoses and connectors.

Although Nissan says that every component on the race car has been tested for quality and durability, the car does not come with any kind of warranty. Which, given that it is meant to go racing, is hardly surprising.
