2013 Porsche Cayenne GTS Revealed With 420 Lime Green Horsepower

2013-Porsche-Cayenne-GTS-driving Porsche has just revealed its latest money-making machine, a high-performance GTS trim of its best-selling Cayenne SUV

Returning for the second-generation of the Cayenne, the GTS delivers high-performance but without the turbos, sporting a modified version of the Cayenne S’s 4.8-liter V8 engine, which now makes 420 hp. The 20 hp bump helps the big SUV shed two-tenths of a second in the sprint to 60 mph with a 5.4 second time using an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission with a custom final drive ratio.

Easily distinguishable by its gloss-black trim and bodywork borrowed from the Cayenne Turbo (including that gaping mouth), other items include 20-inch wheels, fender flares and black dual exhaust. Also helping the performance SUV to stand out is a 20 mm lower suspension and two unique colors, Peridot Metallic (shown) and Carmine Red.

Inside the GTS gets custom eight-way sport seats with Alcantara accents, while for the first tie the GTS gets a Sport Chrono package. Porsche is also introducing what it calls a Sound Symposer that, “channels authentic engine intake sounds into the cabin.”

The Cayenne GTS will hit dealers in August of this year, starting at $82,050 plus a $975 delivery charge.
