A 5-door Hyundai Veloster coming soon?

Whether you love it or hate it, you definitely feel something about the Hyundai Veloster, its unique design and aggressive pricing strategy. Now the Korean manufacturer is apparently toying with the idea of tacking an extra door onto its diminutive car.

In markets like the UK where you drive on the left side of the road, the location of the rear-access door poses a safety risk, which will force Hyundai to add an extra door.

The good news is that the automaker is thinking of using the opportunity to introduce a five-door variant in Canada and the US, joining the ranks of the original Veloster that landed in dealerships last month.

It also looks like the new i30 will be making it to our shores at the same time, to replace the Elantra Touring.

Hyundai is evidently still in shock-and-awe mode!
