Nissan has dished up just a smidgen more information on the Juke-R, the upcoming mash-up of Juke crossover and GT-R supercar. As we reported previously, Nissan Europe is fitting the drivetrain of the GT-R into the body of a Juke.

Nissan plans to build two copies of the Juke-R, one right- and one left-hand drive, in order to gauge public reaction to a sporty Juke variant. The car should be ready for its first tests in November and is slated to be road-legal. Any chance we can have a test drive?

There’s no word yet on how much power the Juke-R will offer, but the GT-R’s twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V-6 is rated for 530 hp and 448 lb-ft of torque. The GT-R’s six-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel-drive system are also being grafted into the go-fast Juke.

Other accoutrements for the Juke-R include an FIA-compliant roll cage, race seats with five-point harnesses, 20-inch Rays wheels, a sporty new body kit, and the displays and switchgear from the GT-R’s center stack.

Nissan Europe is working with U.K.-based RML Motorsport to build the Juke-R in just 22 weeks. In 2004, RML built a Nissan Micra-R by ditching the compact car’s 1.4-liter engine in favor of a 265-hp 2.0-liter race engine. Later, the Micra-R was rebuilt with the V-6 from a Nissan 350Z.

To help whet our appetites for the debut of this furious, go-fast Juke, Nissan has also released a short teaser video previewing the car. Watch the video below, and check back later this year for full details on the Nissan Juke-R.
