2003 Mercedes Benz S600 Sport - Project S600 The Family Q-ship

Having heard that a third child was on the way, Project Editor Mazlumian was saddened that his E36 M3 sedan wasn’t going to be the family hauler any longer. After all, this car (bumped by an extra 60 whp) has been both fun and reliable, but sadly, there’s no room for three child seats in the back row.

project_s600 Being tugged at each extremity by his peers to purchase an SUV or minivan, he silenced his critics by going for the ultimate in style, luxury and performance—an 2003 Mercedes-Benz S600 Sport. How he came to this decision is beyond us; but then again we frequently forget he just can’t let go of high performance. Powered by a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V12 rated at 493 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque, a quick stab of the throttle will silence the kids when the yelling and screaming get out of control. And while it will act as the new family minivan, we know Mazlumian will have days when he’s got the car all to himself.

That said, he’s already begun transforming this 4,600-pound luxury tank into a family-hauling road missile with help from the Mercedes performance gurus at Renntech. Stay tuned.
