The V12 Zagato was first introduced at the Villa d’Este Concours, which it won, in Italy in May and a racing version made it to the finish of the Nurburgring 24 Hours last month. Aston said the decision to build the car followed “overwhelmingly encouraging interest” from customers.
Power for the V12 Zagato comes from a 510bhp, 420lb ft version of Aston’s 6.0-litre V12 engine. Features include a handcrafted aluminium and carbonfibre body and Zagato’s inconic double bubble roof.

In a separate development, Zagato is in the advanced stages of being taken over by Spyker and Bowler owner CPP.
Coventry-based CCP expects to complete the deal for the Italian design house within the next six months as part of its plans to become a “world-leading specialist automotive group”.
