2012 BMW 3-Series M Sport configurator
They seem to be the latest trend among automakers, and likely one of the primary culprits of lost office productivity in the late summer and early fall. Yep, we’re talking about online car configurators. And it didn’t take long for BMW to launch one for its all-new F30 2012 BMW 3 Series. Still not enough virtual fun for you? Don’t forget BMW’s “Ultimate Drive” iPhone app.
BMW’s new 3 Series configurator isn’t anywhere near as detailed as what you’ll find on BMW North America’s site. Rather, the global configurator just gives us a sneak peak at the different colors, trim levels, and wheel options that’ll be available on the 2012 3 Series when it hits dealers around summer next year. Some things we can expect are a Sport Line, a Modern Line, a Luxury Line, and our personal favorite (at least until the M3 arrives) the M sport package.
BMW’s global configurator doesn’t include prices, but we’re expecting it to not cost much more than the current 3 Series. You can check out the global 3 Series configurator here.
