Words have run rampant that Bobbi Kristina had gone missing after the funeral service of her late mother Whitney Houston last Saturday, February 18. According to The Daily Beast, the 18-year-old was found several hours later "getting high" at a hotel. A spokesperson for the Houston family, however, insisted that she was not using drugs.
"There was some confusion about Bobbi Kristina's whereabouts last night for a short time, but she's OK," the family representative was quick to clarify to the publication. Stating that Houston's daughter with Bobby Brown is just emotionally fragile, the rep added, "She needed some time alone. She is going through a very hard time as you can expect."
Dishing on the disappearance of Bobbi after Houston's funeral service on Saturday, February 18, a longtime family friend said, "Everyone was freaking out and calling Bobbi Kristina's cell." The inside source continued, "It was so much commotion and activity after the funeral that Bobbi Kristina just slipped away. Ms. Cissy [Houston's mother] was beside herself."
The family friend further noted that the Houston family was aware of Bobbi's drug problem, but "won't admit out loud." The insider added, "They know it and have been trying to keep her straight even before Whitney passed. But losing your mother and the life you're accustomed to all in one day is enough to send anybody off the deep end."
Inside sources said that the family expects that Bobbi will be sent to rehab in California once Houston has been laid to rest. "It's a horrible situation for everybody," a source said. "They tried to save Whitney, and it didn't work. Now with Bobbi Kristina, they fear the same thing is happening again and they won't be able to stop it either."
