On April 19, Infiniti announced the coming of an all-new, 7-seat/3-row crossover named JX. The Japanese manufacturer further teased us in July, publishing seven photos slowly revealing the car. The veil was finally completely lifted yesterday at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
“The JX Concept advances the Infiniti design language, sharing design cues of the Infiniti Essence concept, yet interprets those elements in ways suitable to the needs of a family luxury crossover,” explains vice-president Shiro Nakamura.
The list of standard technologies is quite long. The 2013 JX will be the first Infiniti to feature “Backup Collision Intervention” as well as the automaker’s all-new Infiniti Personal Assistant.
Available in FWD and AWD versions, it will be powered by a potent V6 and be the first Infiniti to sport a sport CVT system.
The production version of the JX will be revealed in November at the LA Auto Show and should hit dealerships next spring.
