Eterniti presents the $235,000 Hemera SUV

Eterniti Hamera

This year’s edition of the Frankfurt Motor Show saw the birth of a brand-new premium automaker, Eterniti Motors. The UK firm highlighted the occasion with the Hemera, a high-performance SUV offering the luxury of a limousine.

It’s built on a revised version of the Volkswagen Group’s full-size SUV platform, hence its striking resemblance to the Porsche Cayenne. The Hemera features a carbon fibre body and a 620-hp, twin-turbo V7.

Minor changes will be made when production starts in 2012. The head- and taillamps, for instance, will be swapped for custom-built LED numbers that will somewhat change the SUVs profile. Apart from that, the Frankfurt version is reportedly pretty close to what consumers will get their hands on.

Rear passengers will enjoy twin heated, vented, reclining electric seats, a beverage chiller and dual iPads with wireless keyboards. The setup means as much fun behind the wheel as in the back seats, which is apparently all the rage on Asian markets.

Official prices haven’t been revealed, but the automaker talked about £150,000 for the base version, the equivalent of around CDN$ 235,000 according to today’s exchange rate. The automaker is currently working on another SUV as well as a high-performance car.
