Concept vehicles are often just that; concepts. They rarely, if ever, see the light of day and if they do they're often in limited quantities and/or nothing like they originally appeared to be. However, such is not the case with Land Rover's stylish, modern, uber-cool Range Rover Evoque.
That's right, the first production vehicle was driven off the line at Land Rover's Halewood plant in Liverpool, UK and Land Rover say they've already received 18,000 orders (globally) for the new baby beast in their lineup.

What's most impressive about the Evoque is the fact that it still looks like a concept vehicle, even rolling off the production lines – and that's just fantastic. Land Rover have managed to keep the coolness in their newest vehicle while still packing it with all the technological gadgetry and comfort levels we've come to expect from Land Rover products.
Now, with all this talk about it being “real”, that means there's also a very real price tag attached to it as well. Land Rover says that the Evoque's pricing will start at 27,955 pounds and will be available in both a five-door and coupe style body. The coupe style will come with the option of two rear bucket seats or a three-seater bench and the five-door's roofline will be 30mm higher than the coupe.
All variants of the Range Rover Evoque will be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox or an auto transmission. And for the first time ever, Land Rover will offer FWD and 4WD models.
Now, how long will it take the Evoque to make the transatlantic journey? It is a Land Rover after all...
