Dodge is aiming for the compact sedan leaders with the all-new 2013 Dodge Dart. In this Feature Flick, Motor Trend’s Jessi Lang drives one in Austin, Texas to find out how the Dart compares to other small four-doors.
Much like Mini, Dodge designed the all-new Dart with personalization in mind. The compact sedan comes in five trim levels with 12 paint colors, 14 interior colors and trims, and six wheel choices. Many of the Dart’s options can be picked individually and not just in a package. An 8.4-inch touch screen for the infotainment center with voice activation and back-up camera are available.
Dodge offers customers three four-cylinder engines and three six-speed transmission options. Lang was able to drive the Rallye model with the mid-range 1.4-liter turbo-four engine—from the Fiat 500 Abarth—mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
Lang says the 2013 Dart has soft-touch materials where it counts and finds the interior roomy for the class. What else did Lang think of the 2013 Dodge Dart?
